Some of the reasons we LOVE San Francisco!!
I love running and this is one of the best cities in the world for it: our weather is almost always between 60-70 degrees (year round) and, if you brave the hills, SF has unparalleled views. It's great living less than a 10 minute walk from everything you need: a grocery store, drug store, coffee shop, dry cleaners, bagel place, the bank, sushi, a public library, UPS store, (...you get the idea).
Diverse + queer friendly, easy access to the outdoors, great weather (almost) year-round, great vegan food, cute coffee shops and bookstores
San Francisco has its fair share of problems but you don't have to look that hard to find beauty. There are so many people and organizations doing really meaningful work to make SF better for its residents. And the physical beauty of the colorful houses, the parks, the ocean, the bridges can be overwhelming at times!
Very fun city with lots to do - music festivals, parades, museums, concerts, musicals, breweries, wineries, brunch, plus all the fun tourist activities. I love living near the water and watching the surfers while eating a bagel and coffee on a Saturday morning. I also enjoy driving outside the city to take advantage of all of the nature, hiking, and camping we have here.
The food! But also it's home! I grew up in the bay area so being close to friends and family is a huge plus.
The weather and access to outdoors within and surrounding the city - the ocean, mountains, hiking, redwood forests. great cycling. the people!
proximity to nature and family, delicious food, beautiful views and parks in every neighborhood
The ability to see an art show, go hiking, and have an impact on healthcare all in the same day because of location is a pretty unique thing about the city!
There's always something to do (e.g. Brunch, Festivals, Dives, Lounges, Clubs, Concerts). In addition, if you ever get tired of SF for the moment, then Oakland and the East Bay are right next door (i.e. Lake Merritt is amazing!!).
Compact but varied, walkable, great food, good weather, and rich set of urban amenities but also easy access by car to nature.
Can you guess? It's something about the outdoors...The forest descends straight into the ocean just 30 minutes from the hospital! I also love the variety of neighborhoods in the city and the other people who call San Francisco home!
There's always something to do in the city, pre- and post-COVID. Every neighborhood is so unique and special.
People are allowed to be themselves in San Francisco! Want to wear overalls, drink boba and ride an electric skateboard down the street? Go for it! On a day off you can find a giant swing overlooking the entire city, bike through Sausalito, brunch with drag queens, etc.

If you couldn’t tell,
food is a big deal for us in SF!
